There is an unfortunate tendency within the hearts of men to strive for power at the expense of other people. Time has taught us that the greater the power sought, the greater the corruption and the greater the numbers of those that must suffer. History has also shown that fire is often fought with fire and from those ashes, a phoenix does not always rise. 7pm Ritual has done an excellent job of presenting and artfully expressing this sentiment in their recently released debut album, :08:16:02:, available now on Germany’s Lichterklang Records.
